FRANKLIN, TX | 2022 GMC 1500 SierraJune 11, 2026In early May my vehicle 2022 Sierra Denali shut down completely. Service replaced a part that was a recall on 2023 vehicles. A "crash" icon was showing on dashboard. I checked sensors however I wound up bringing in just to be told computer needed programming?? Not covered under electrical warranty?! COLLEGE STATION, TX | 2023 GMC CanyonJune 8, 2026The communication at this dealership is horrible, by far the worst I’ve ever experienced. Dropped off my vehicle Monday 8am and made it very clear that I was not a priority. The service writer didn’t listen to what I told him the vehicle was doing. Apparently they got to my vehicle late Monday afternoon but too late to actually diagnose any problems. Tuesday, didn’t even look at my truck, “ tech was pulled to other vehicles”, Wednesday got to my vehicle late in the afternoon but couldn’t make a confident diagnosis, “we’ll look at it tomorrow”. This is where I repeated the issue that the truck was doing, tech replied “oh I didn’t know that’s what it was doing”. Thursday we know what the issue is but I’ve been on the phone with the warranty company waiting on hold for 15 minutes and I can’t wait that long, I’ll try tomorrow. Friday, I still can’t get a hold of anyone from the warranty company but most likely they won’t cover the issue if you want it done it will be over $900 and we can see if that fixes the issue and if it doesn’t then we can retry and see if the warranty will cover after we do the potential correction. I obviously was not a priority to this dealership. I guess that’s what happens when you’re the only GMC dealership in a small town, they treat you like garbage unless they look like you.Response from Sterling Auto Group
